A blowout last night, but hopefully not the case tonight. But for we get into the lineups, a friendly reminder:
Happy 69th birthday to the one and only Duane Kuiper. pic.twitter.com/3mS4lpbWdJ

That’s way more important than a mid-season series against a rebuilding Giants team and a top of the league Dodgers team, even if this is supposed to be a g-d rivalry.
The 34th anniversary of his final game is just eight days from now, too, but for now, let’s just focus on what a miracle Duane Kuiper is. A 12-year career that transitioned into one of the most successful baseball broadcasting gigs in sports history. That graveling yet smooth voice. The seemingly open-minded approach to watching the game and incorporating all the new stuff flying at us.
And, of course, the home run call.
Anyway — baseball:

Pomeranz hasn’t allowed an earned run in his last 10 innings (2 starts) and has a 12:4 strikeouts to walks ratio, too. He entered June with an 8.08 ERA. Has he figured something out?
