Good Morning, McCoven.

I would love to have something funny or insightful to say to you this morning, or an announcement of some kind. But I have spent the entirety of my Thursday afternoon and evening looking for my Bella, the kitten that I rescued last year. She has been the light of my life for nine months, but she somehow got out of the house without anyone noticing, and I’ve been going hoarse pacing around the neighborhood calling for her for the last several hours. I have no interesting words to share today. No fun tweets to post. No poll questions to ask.

Only this: Don’t take the ones you love for granted. Whether they have four legs or two, make sure they know you love them. So that if they ever leave you, one way or another, they know that you cared. I didn’t play with Bella yesterday. I was stressed out because my dad is losing his job. I’ve been exhausted for the last two months while he was without a car, so I didn’t make as much time for Bella as I should have. And now she’s missing. So, yeah, just...don’t take anyone for granted because you may not have a chance to make it up to them.

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day and weekend. I’ll try to have something better to say tomorrow.

***Update: Bella was found safely later Friday morning. While this turns out to have a happy ending, the sentiment above remains the same.***
