Good morning, McCoven, and happy Tuesday to you all.

It sure is an exciting time for Bay Area sports (that aren’t baseball). The Golden State Warriors are headed back to their fifth consecutive Western Conference Finals and the San Jose Sharks are also in the (consults Google) Conference Finals? I’m doing my best to be supportive of my hockey fan friends, so bear with me. It’s a learning process.

Anyway, though the Sharks were defeated last night, they are tied in the series and they had a local fan in attendance who is very near and dear to our hearts.

That’s right, Bruce Bochy was there to help kick the game off last night and it was probably the happiest I have seen him in a long time.

Bochy isn’t the first Giant to do so during this year’s playoffs, Brandon Belt opened the door for (I believe) the first home game of the first round. But it sure was nice to see the skipper fired up for a playoff game, possibly one last time during his tenure in the Bay Area.

And now I’ve made myself sad. Anyway, you’ll get ‘em next time, Sharks fans!
