Baseball players, they’re just like us! And by us, I mean me, because it’s time once again for another Brandon Belt blog post!

In the most recent blog, Belt discusses how he approaches playing first base vs. how he approaches playing in left field. Ultimately, he says it comes down to a mindset, noting that even if he may not be the greatest left fielder, he is providing value to his team by filling the role that needs filling:

But I’m always happen to play out there, even though I’m not putting myself in the best light. Someone once told me that talent is delivering to the team what it needs at any particular moment. I think that’s what it means to be a ballplayer. You do what the team needs. I’d squat behind the plate if they asked me to. I’m still waiting for my turn on the mound, though Pablo seems to have convinced Boch he’s the guy.

He also discusses what he loves about playing in Toronto. And spoiler alert, friends, it’s the chicken tenders. So if you ever find yourself at the Ritz Carlton there, you know what to do.
