This. Episode. Had. Everything.
We had reunions. We had new alliances. We had redemption. We had a direwolf. We had more information about Tormund than anyone ever asked for.
Lady Brienne was knighted at long last by Jaime Lannister. Arya and Gendry got a little better acquainted. Sansa and Daenerys had a heart to heart that didn't end on a promising note. Theon arrived and vowed to protect the family and home that raised him. Missandei and Grey Worm planned for a future that's located in a place that is a little less hostile towards their skin color. And most of our favorite characters were in one place, spending what may be their last night alive by reconnecting with old friends and foes and making the most of what little time they may have left.
Jon finally revealed to Daenerys that he is her nephew and the rightful heir to the throne. Daenerys did not take it well, and who can blame her? She just found out she's been sleeping with her nephew and that he may be an obstacle on her path to the throne. Hard to tell which she was more upset about.
Does Jon even want to be King? He sure didn't have much to say on the matter tonight. Will Daenerys turn on him? Or will he bow out and choose to be the King in the North? Will she even allow that? She never answered Sansa's question about what happens to the North after the war.
As we leave Winterfell for the week, the dead are on their doorstep and the battle for the living is poised to begin for real next week. Who will live? Who will die? And will the Night King even be there, or will their plans be in vain?
