Nothing like a multiple hour rain delay on a weekend game to really get you excited to watch more baseball. But here we are, back at it again. In the grand tradition of spring baseball, we may end up with more delays today.
What are some of your favorite ways to pass the time during a rain delay? Do you watch the filler programming on NBC Sports Bay Area? Maybe you hate yourself and listen to the KNBR call-in show. Or do you do productive things?
Personally, I like to go that route. Maybe work out, do some laundry, go full on Marie Kondo on re-arranging my dresser drawers. You know, really stick to the tedious chores that remind me that I’d rather be watching baseball.
I also like to consume baseball content from people I admire, and for those of you who would like to also do that, I recommend my friend Bradford William Davis’ piece from the New York Daily News on Friday. Davis takes on the Tim Anderson suspension and the cultural issues facing MLB in the wake of the incident.
I also recommend my friend Ashley MacLennan’s YouTube channel, 90 Feet From Home, where she breaks down some of the basics and gets into some of the things we may take for granted as longtime baseball fans, but might be good refreshers, or helpful in growing the love of the game for our friends and family.
Feel free to share some of the things you’ve been enjoying lately, or anyone you think more people need to be reading/watching/listening to.
