Today is the birthday of our beloved favorite baby giraffe, Brandon Belt!

In honor of his birthday, let’s share some of our favorite Belt memories. The above picture has been my phone’s lock screen picture for the last two years, as well as my McCovey Chronicles profile picture. So I think it’s only fitting that my first memory would be this:
That “acting,” those intense stares at the camera. That’s the Brandon we’ve come to know and love. And for baseball memories, well, I don’t know if it gets any better than these:
This would be the day that Brandon Belt hit a grand slam and a solo home run (and naturally the Giants lost the game). But still, it was peak Belt in all ways.
And of course, nothing showcases Belt’s exceptional eye and plate discipline quite like his record-breaking, 21 pitch at-bat. Every last fourteen minutes of it.
We may revisit this topic later today, if there’s a rain delay that gets out of hand. But for now, since it’s just us regulars here, go ahead and share your most beloved memories of our favorite first baseman/left fielder.
