SB Nation FanPulse: 95% of Giants fans approve of Bruce Bochy as Giants manager

It turns out, Giants fans are not unanimous in their view of a Hall of Fame manager. Come see how else fans are feeling.

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Giants fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

I don’t know what Bruce Bochy did to deserve this, but according to the first SB Nation FanPulse poll, he’s not universally beloved by Giants fans.

Now, I don’t know if people want to be contrarians and are doing this just for the kick of being the anonymous dweebasaurus to prevent a 100% rating or if this is a matter of the people who’ve signed up for SB Nation’s FanPulse (which, again, you should absolutely do and which you can absolutely do right here through this link) really believing he’s the reason why the Giants have scored the second-fewest runs in baseball since 2016 and the sixth-fewest wins from 2017-2018. Anything’s possible.

This wasn’t the only question asked in this week’s FanPulse. There were two more:

Are you confident in the direction of the team: 74% Yes

The Zaidi signing would seem to be paying dividends at least for the Online portion of Giants fandom. Or maybe people are still really attached to the 2012-2015 track records of Posey, Bumgarner, Belt, and Crawford and think they’re enough along with bounce back seasons from Longoria, Bumgarner, and Pomeranz to do some damage in the NL West.

Will your team win the World Series: 5% Yes

Now, I don’t know if people want to be contrarians and are doing this just for the kick of being the anonymous dweebasaurus to prevent a 100% No answer or if this is a matter of the people who’ve signed up for SB Nation’s FanPulse (which, again, you should absolutely do and which you can absolutely do right here through this link) believing that in baseball, anything’s possible, and the purest version of that belief can be found in Opening Day.

Tune in next week for the next FanPulse — but also, sign up for FanPulse to receive the next ballot.
