Chroncast #88: Craig Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus

Baseball, philosophy . . . baseball philosophy?

Baseball writing continues to evolve and if you’re a fungible baseball blogger like me, then it can be tough to keep up. But if you’re the Editor-in-Chief of Baseball Prospectus like Craig Goldstein, our guest on the penultimate episode of the McCovey Chroncast, then you’re who everybody’s chasing.

What’s in store for the sport as the 21st century marches on? How has the present evolution complicated analyzing a sport where grown men wear pajamas? What’s the next market inefficiency? What kind of person keeps change in their wallet? Craig answers all these questions and more with unflinching kindness and a surprising amount of grace.

A fair warning: Craig is a Dodgers fan, but I promise that the conversation doesn’t devolve into Bum talk. We do take some time to talk about our cats, though, so stick around for that.

Since this is the second to last episode of the Chroncast, it seems unnecessary to recommend you subscribe to the feed. Instead, I’ll simply say thank you for listening!
