Seventeen year old Luis Matos goes on the board — likely the youngest player we’ll put on this list for a considerable time, possibly the youngest we’ll put on it at all (depending on how the crowd feels about Aeverson Arteaga or Esmerlin Vinicio). Matos had a solid plurality of 40% of the vote, with 2018 2nd rounder Sean Hjelle (25%) and 2019 1st rounder Will Wilson (21%) his closest competitors.
Today we complete our Top 10 and it looks like we’re set up for a real debate. We have two recent high draft pick/modest tools type. One of Matos’ big $$ IFA signing colleagues and a major leaguer who will get a lot of chances in 2020.
Here is our list at this point:
- Joey Bart
- Marco Luciano
- Heliot Ramos
- Hunter Bishop
- Logan Webb
- Alexander Canario
- Seth Corry
- Mauricio Dubon
- Luis Matos
This would seem set up to put Hjelle or Wilson on the board at the 10-spot, but you never know where the Matos’ voting contingent throws their weight. Here are our contenders:
