New, 2 comments

Bryan and Sami talk about everything that went down at Gabe Kapler’s first press conference and how it might’ve gone better.

The Giants have a new manager and the Giants’ President of Baseball Operations has some new scrutiny. Bryan and Sami convene to discuss everything that went wrong in the new brain trust’s first press conference, how there might have been a way to make a bad situation better, and what any of it might mean for the Giants in the near-term.

Oh, and there’s definitely talk about Will Smith and what his departure means for the team. Madison Bumgarner figures to be next on the list of departures, too, which would really seem to put the Giants in an even larger hole heading into 2020.

And, as you’ll hear, Sami and I make a brief mention of our editorial goals for the rest of the year. McCovey Chronicles will be working on a lot of Best of the Decade pieces in the coming weeks and we want your suggestions. What do you think we should cover?
