Good morning, McCoven!

So I’m a bit late to the game, but I thought it would be better late than never to take the McCovey Chronicles temperature on which teams you guys are rooting for in this year’s playoffs.

To recap, yesterday was a day of chaos baseball, as all but one team staved off elimination and live to see another game. The New York Yankees advanced over the Minnesota Twins in an absolute dud of a game and series (unless you’re a Yankees fan).

But the Tampa Bay Rays managed to knock around Zack Greinke and the Houston Astros, with Houston leading the series 2-1 and they will play again today. Meanwhile, in the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals have tied up their series 2-2 against the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers respectively.

Both will see a Game 5 in their opponents’ park tomorrow. So now it’s time to place your metaphorical bets:

I’ll probably check in with this question before each round going forward, I’ve just had a lot on my plate over the last week and I missed the opportunity to start from the beginning. Personally, if I can’t have underdog heroics and chaos, I’m looking forward to a Yankees vs. Astros ALCS epic battle for the ages, and for one of the two of them to beat the Dodgers if the rest of the NL can’t get it done.
