World Series - Houston Astros v Washington Nationals - Game Three Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images

Good morning, McCoven!

Today, we could potentially have our final game of the 2019 baseball season. The World Series is back in Houston tonight as the Astros hope to close it out and the Nationals (and most of the collective baseball world) hope to see a Game 7.

Tonight’s match-up will be a repeat of Game 2, in which Jason Verlander will face off against Stephen Strasburg. Hopefully with similar results, in my not at all biased opinion. Should the series go another game, it is unlikely that the Nationals’ injured ace, Max Scherzer, will be involved, unfortunately. Which could be the proverbial nail in the coffin of Washington’s championship dreams. But stranger things have happened!

I think it’s time for another scientific McCovey Chronicles community poll. Which team do you think will win the series vs. which team do you want to see win the series?

If you don’t see the poll below, you can try opening this in another browser.
