Good morning, McCoven!

I have some light reading for your Thursday. The player blog is back and this time it features Logan Webb talking about his brief but memorable time with the club this year. Webb had a wild ride, going from suspension to playing on the field and with the players he grew up watching in seemingly no time at all.

When you grow up in Rocklin watching the Giants, like I did, it’s unbelievable to think you’re playing baseball with guys like Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt, Madison Bumgarner, all the guys everyone was always talking about. As kid, the stories were almost like folk tales. And I got to be there playing for Bochy. It’s still just unbelievable to me.

While this makes me feel old, it’s a very cool experience and it was one of a handful of them this season with young players who grew up watching the team (and the current players). You can read the rest of it here.
