Willie McCovey Memorial 2019 Community Prospect List #33-RUNOFF

I know that Nathan (“Free_fp” to you) has been silently gnashing his teeth, furious about our limited runoffs thus far in the 2019 CPL when it seems like he had a runoff every other day in years past. But we hit a doozy of a jumble at #33 and it is time to R-U-N-N-O-F-T!

Five of our seven players in the poll ended up within 3 votes of one another. As it doesn’t make much sense to me to just strip two players (who gained a collective 12 votes) out and do the same thing over again, I’ll make a command decision to take just the top vote-getters here, who were separated by just one vote. That means that Conner Menez (19), Manuel Geraldo (18) and David Villar (18) all stay in the pool. Your choices once again for the 33rd best prospect in the Giants’ system are:

Blake Rivera

Sam Coonrod

The loser of this run-off will take the #34 slot and we’ll proceed to #35 for the weekend with, obviously, a very tightly packed pool of candidates.
