Last night’s game was just another four and a half hour frustrating display of futility laugher. But, at least they didn’t lose to the Mets. YET.

Did anyone tell the Mets the ball drop happens in Times Square not Queens?

Everyone just yelled and cheered and slapped hands with one another because for a moment the Mets might be worse.

You see, it’s okay to make fun of the Mets because Mets fans have already beaten you to the best jokes. Mets fans will make fun of the Mets way worse than you ever could, and they know the deal. They are baseball’s punchline in team form. And after a certain amount of time being frustrated by their team/organization, they shrugged their shoulders and just embraced the memes. I’m kind of getting to that point myself.
