Well, I was going to have a light-hearted BP for you all this morning, but with the Johnny Cueto news, I couldn’t quite bring myself to it today.
So instead, this thread will act as a shrine to our fallen starting pitcher. Our dear, beloved Johnny Cueto, gone too soon. Though he isn’t dead, we won’t have him in our lives for far too long.
This isn’t the place to complain about his contract, this can happen to any pitcher on any contract. Look at Julian Fernández, or hell, look at Corey Seager. The injury gods are fickle. This is not the place to complain about the fact that he tried to pitch through it, it was a gamble that didn’t pay off but that’s life. And this definitely isn’t a place for “I told you so.”
This is a place for shimmy gifs, game highlights and Instagram shenanigans. Lay your offering at the proverbial memorial for one of our favorite Giants in the last five years.
