Round 7, Pick #196: Edison Mora, high school shortstop

Mora is the first infielder the Giants have taken this year.

With their seventh round pick, the Giants selected Edison Mora, a high school shortstop out of the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. He hails from Villalba, Puerto Rico.

Mora will turn 18 in about three months. He is listed at 6’2” and 160 pounds, so he has some room to fill out. He both bats and throws right-handed.
