In yesterday’s BP, I posted a link to Brandon Crawford’s latest blog, where he talked about how Pablo Sandoval and Gregor Blanco helped turn his swing around. In turn, Crawford sat down to work with Austin Jackson to watch film and try to do the same.
That’s teamwork. That’s a community. And we’re also a team and a community here at McCovey Chronicles. And we’re looking for some help from our friends. How can you help, you ask? Might I direct your attention to the little used sections called Fanposts and Fan Shots.
We would like to feature the voices and contributions from our community. Fanposts are pretty easy to understand, and many of you have already written one! You write about something you’re interested in, something you’ve noticed, something you have a strong opinion about, etc.
Fan Shots are something we really haven’t done much with here, but we’d really like to get those going. See something cool about the Giants on social media? Maybe it was a picture, a video, a Natto gif or drawing, or maybe just a really good article you think people should read. Drop that bad boy into a Fan Shot.
We would like to start highlighting the most interesting contributions by featuring them on the front page.
We want our community to be involved in the evolution of the voice of the site, so we’d love to hear what you’ve got to say! Or see the interesting things you find about the Giants that others might want to see! So get posting, if you’re interested.
And for fun, here’s a small example of what might make a good Fan Shot. Roasting one Bryan Murphy about this:
SPOTTED: @Every6thDay clapping in support of something the Dodgers did. Where’s your god now, @McCoveyChron readers? pic.twitter.com/CzzIV8QmCK

I reached out to Bryan for comment and he added that it gets worse, that the Dodgers’ record when he attends games there is something like 13-3. So essentially, boo this man.
