If you vaguely remember Brandon Hicks and vaguely remember that he hit a home run off of Clayton Kershaw, let this post serve as a reminder that it was Mother’s Day weekend of 2014 when it happened.
His home run gave the Giants a surprise lead in a game where Sergio Romo would have a surprise blown save that would lead to a positively shocking extra innings win for the Giants.
Hicks would hit only one more home run and play just 30 more games for the Giants, but he will always be known as one of the few Giants to ever homer off of Clayton Kershaw.
