Welcome to May! New names coming your way.

MLB: San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

It may not have been a crucial win last night, but it was an important one. The Giants have shown they can come back, shown they can win games they probably should’ve lost, and the bullpen continues to hold the line when it finally, absolutely has to. Reyes Moronta had been consistent, but then he floundered. Cory Gearrin had floundered, and now he has a little bit of consistency. Hey, when it comes to relievers, I will take micro sampling to form a strong opinion because pitching spins on very little.

Nick Hundley’s big hit guarantees he will retain the championship belt as The Best Hitter On The Team Right Now by virtue of how hard he’s hit the ball since Spring Training and how many big hits he continues to have. It’s both not fair and really easy to see Bochy psychologically projecting himself onto Nick Hundley, so, I’m very happy for our manager and his success at the plate lately. Oh, I’m kidding.

In the meantime, and most importantly, I’m happy to introduce our newest contributor to the site: Brady Klopfer. Welcome, Brady!

You know him from the comments section formerly as bradyk2, and maybe even better from his work at SB Nation’s Golden State of Mind. He’s a great writer who will help us expand our Warriors coverage and better understand just how Belt and Posey are so successful at the pick and roll. He’ll also contribute post-game recaps and feature articles throughout the month.

I’m hoping to announce our new Staff Writer in tomorrow’s BP. In the meantime, please flood Brady with questions like “Will you be better than Grant?” “Which Warrior is the most like which Giant?” “Is that really you in your Twitter avatar?”
