We’ll know more soon, and create a STORY STREAM, if necessary... but for now, it’s important to note that there’s a lot of odd activity around the Giants clubhouse right now.
Steven Okert is here. He is on the taxi squad. Eventually the Giants will tell us who is hurt.

Andrew Suarez is now here. Something might be up with Cueto. #sfgiants

Has Andrew Suarez been activated? "No," he said. "I guess I should find that out." Same.

Hmmmmmm...
But that’s not all that’s going on. Hunter Strickland did a Twitter Q&A...
What will you do differently against Bryce Harper, this time around if given the chance to face him? #SFGChat

Get him out. https://t.co/TTdwkrBOd8

The only actual analysis here is that something surprising has happened. If it’s something like, oh, I don’t know, Johnny Cueto is out for an extended period of time, the success of the season can be called into question immediately.
Also, don’t forget:
I will be live tweeting Young Beedah’s debut tonight at the ballpark from the @McCoveyChron account. My guess is he has a nice outing followed by his first ever Caining from the offense.

UPDATES:
Cueto tweaked his L ankle over the weekend and is doubtful for tomorrow. Suarez likely to start Wed. #sfgiants still deciding to keep pushing Cueto back until healed or DL him.

Per Bochy, Samardzija will get a rehab start in SJ Saturday. #sfgiants
— Amy Gutierrez (@AmyGGiants) April 10, 2018
Samardzija felt good during rehab start yesterday, will make one more for San Jose Giants this weekend. Also, there's nothing new on Melancon. No timetable for him to even play catch.
— Alex Pavlovic (@PavlovicNBCS) April 10, 2018
So, Cueto to the DL and Mark Melancon’s career is probably over.
