It’s the battle of the bay, minus the bay.

MLB: Spring Training-San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Giants were undefeated this weekend! That’s pretty exciting, even if it’s only spring training. We’re getting close to real baseball, and you know you’re one step closer when the Giants face the A’s!

Wait, I’m being informed that this is not actually the exhibition series that precedes the start of the regular season, but is, in fact, just another spring training game.

Ah, well. Soon enough, I guess.

Today the Giants will travel to Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, where Chris Stratton will face off against Jharel Cotton on his ongoing mission to secure his spot in the rotation.

For once, Mac Williamson is performing well AND being allowed to play regularly, so this is an exciting spring for him and all of us who root for him.

The first round of cuts are expected to be announced later this morning.

Lineup:

  1. Panik, Joe - 2B
  2. Belt, Brandon - 1B
  3. Crawford, Brandon - SS
  4. Hundley, Nick - C
  5. Sandoval, Pablo - 3B
  6. Parker, Jarrett - DH
  7. Williamson, Mac - LF
  8. Duggar, Steven - CF
  9. Hernandez, Gorkys - RF

P - Stratton, Chris - RHP

You can listen on KNBR for the Giants broadcast, or 95.7 The Game for the A’s. I don’t believe there is a webcast today, however you can listen via MLB audio as well.
