Sooooo close to our first run-off of the year! But then I SWOOOOPED in and closed the voting (I don’t use the word “hero” very often....)
Following two routs we had a nail biter of a split decision with Marco Luciano taking the #3 spot by the narrowest of margins over Shaun Anderson. Whew! Didn’t want to disrupt our flow so soon in the game!
As we move on to #4 one might figure that this is all Shaun Anderson’s spot to claim. However, to introduce a little chaos into the proceedings we have four new players to add to the lists. Here are your next candidates — remember, the first name links to their stats on Baseball Reference, the last name goes to their Fangraphs page.
This group likely takes us through our top 10. How’s it look for a top 10 group this year? Looks like we’ll have to work our way through a pitcher pile-up soon!
I do want to set one issue officially to bed here that came up in yesterday’s nomination process. Ray Black is hereby declared ELIGIBLE for this year’s CPL. To the best of my ability to determine, he spent 44 days on the Active Roster last year which leaves him one day short of the 45 day cutoff for rookie eligibility. He’s open season, go ahead and nominate and vote for him the next time we put out a call.
With that, who is your #4 prospect in the Giants’ system?

Oh and one more thing — you’ll notice we have a Story Stream for the CPL’s published now so you’ll always know where to find them. It’s right next to the Holiday Gift item in the marquee.
