If you thought Hunter Pence’s time at AT&T Park done, think again.
He will be returning to San Francisco for the 9th Annual Holiday Heroes Fundraiser on Tuesday, December 4th with his wife, Alexis Pence - both will be honored with the Inspiration Award. The award is given to an athlete who has used their platform to make a difference in the lives of underserved children in the Bay Area. Fitting, right?
The Wender Weis Foundation For Children will be hosting this event that helps underserved families and children in the Bay Area. They will be transforming AT&T Park into some sort of magical Winter Wonderland and are expecting over 400 children and their families and about 1,500 guests.
It sounds like a pretty great charitable event, especially since it focuses on connecting kids with pro-athletes and also has some fun activities including building your own teddy bear, cookie decorating, a story-time with Amy G, and arcade games.
Proceeds to this event will be benefiting Family House Inc, Giants Community Fund, No Kid Hungry, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Warriors Community Fund, 49ers Foundation, Team IMPACT, and Generation Alive.
