None of the AL teams scored 10 runs yesterday — is baseball in the midst of a scoring crisis?

If you’re really into baseball, then you’ve heard of all four starting pitchers today: Carlos Carrasco, Gerrit Cole, Masahiro Tanaka, and David Price. Carrasco is the knowledge wild card here, as he plays for Cleveland and has seemingly flown under the radar for his career. He’s posted a 3.33 ERA across his last three seasons and has been one of the better pitchers in all of baseball. His 2.94 FIP this season is a career best.

Anyway, this is the American League’s day, which means it’s likely to be very boring despite all the runs being scored. Sure, there are going to be plenty of unfamiliar faces and situations, but with luck, it will all still recognizably be baseball...
