Bruce Bochy admitted to hospital for heart procedure

The Giants manager is "resting comfortably and will be released tomorrow."

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Bruce Bochy was admitted to the hospital on Thursday for chest pains, and the Giants released a statement about his condition.

Following his physical yesterday, the Giants medical staff was monitoring Bruce Bochy's heart after he experienced some discomfort.

This afternoon, Bruce was admitted to Scottsdale Healthcare Medical Center where doctors performed a medical procedure to insert two stents.

He is resting comfortably and will be released tomorrow.

Stenting is much less invasive than major artery or bypass surgery, so Bochy will hopefully be back on his feet soon. Best wishes, skipper.
