Let's do a link . . . thing. It's been a while. I don't really remember all the terminology.
Hank the Brewers pup wins 'Dog of the Year' at World Dog Awards
HAAANNNNNKKKKKKKKKK
It's Oscar season, and there have been a lot of newsworthy snubs lately (No Best Picture nomination for Heaven Is For Real? BULLSHIT.), but fortunately the Academy of Dog Arts and Sciences got this one right. Hank captivated the world this year, from the time he ran his first sausage race to other times that were also important but I'm just gonna link the sausage race video again. Still not convinced he was the right choice? He wore a tux to the ceremony.
A TUX. CASE CLOSED.
Mutual Fund Billionaire Charles Johnson Faces Lawsuit Over Millions In Missing Stock
McCovey Chronicles: Your Destination For The Hottest Financial News. Pretty surprised Grant hasn't put that up on the main site. Probably just lazy.
Charles Johnson is, of course, the largest shareholder of the Giants, and now he's being sued for $150 million. Now, $150 million might seem like a lot of money to the commoner, but Johnson is worth $6 billion, so to him it's pocket change, in that most financial transactions can be controlled from a phone now, which he could presumably keep in his pocket. Will this lawsuit affect the Giants payroll? Almost certainly not. It's not like they're some kind of famous trainwreck team whose broke and bilked owners are pinching every penny they can find. Why, I would hate to root for a team like
Mets charging players to attend offseason workouts
Oh, hi Mets. Didn't see you there. What were we talking about? Oh, nothing, nothing. Did you hear that news about Hank? Crazy! I mean, well deserved, of course. He really is the best. Well, I'm babbling. It was good catching up! Let's do this again sometime.

In Pursuit of Pennants
Do you like nerdish baseball history? Because I do! It's why you got those hot Billy Werber anecdotes last week. This site, from the authors of a new book about the history of baseball front offices, is currently counting down the 25 greatest GMs in baseball history. No Giants have shown up so far, though Bob Quinn's dad John comes in at number 24. Everyone here agrees that Sabean should be top 3, right? That seems like an uncontroversial opinion around such a relentlessly positive crowd.
San Jose loses on its appeal to have Major League Baseball’s antitrust exemption set aside
WOOOOOOOO THE GIANTS CAN STILL MAKE MONEY OFF SANTA CLARA COUNTY WOOOOOOOO PRETTY STOKED YOU GUYS PRETTY STOKED
