After a career-high 6 BB, Stratton departed after just 3.0 IP. He threw just 42 of 80 pitches for strikes. Okert and Strickland, the second and fourth relievers for the Squirrels, combined for 4 K in 2.1 perfect IP.

Batting in the first two spots in the lineup, Payne and Lollis each singled twice and stole a base. Both are now in San Jose after Payne started the year in the Sally League, and Lollis spent the first four months in the Eastern League.
Agosta had no strikeouts and nearly two baserunners per inning but still pitched well enough to be credited with the win. Bandilla had 3 K in a scoreless 9th inning for his 7th save.
