Monday highlight from the Giants' farm: Chris Heston allowed just 1 R in 7.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Salt Lake 4-1

Fresno: SS Chris Dominguez: 1 for 3, HR, BB

Fresno: SP Chris Heston: 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K--1 WP

Dominguez homered for the sixth time in nine games.  He now has 19 HRs--two away from his career high.  Brown was one of two Grizzlies with two hits each.  He managed his 26th and 27th SB.

Heston delivered his third straight quality start.  He has an ERA close to 3.00 in eleven starts since the start of June.

Sy hit his 11th HR while reaching base three times.  In the SAL's second half, he has a line full of secondary average: .222/.359/.470 in 117 AB (including 26 H, 13 XBH, and 24 BB).  Rodriguez continues to enjoy a strong second half, hitting .284/.341/.440 in 116 AB.

Messner had a solid start, allowing just 5 H.  He had allowed 23 H in 11.2 IP over his last two starts.  Black, Smith, and Castillo combined to strike out 11 of their 17 batters in 5.0 scoreless IP.

Carbonell, Arenado, and Lichenthaler all reached base three times.

Santos allowed a career-high 10 H but still managed his ninth straight start with exactly 5.0 IP.  The 3 ER were also a new career high, raising his ERA to 2.20.

Gomez had two of the Gigantes' three hits.  He has a .343 AVG.  Flores has a 2.93 ERA through 46.0 IP in his fourth pro season.
