With his 5th double and a single, Miller was the lone Flying Squirrel with two hits.  He has hit .344/.400/.453 through his first 64 AB in the upper minors--fairly impressive for the third year pro who spent all of his first two seasons in short-season ball.

Blackburn backed up his last start (11 K in 8.0 scoreless IP) with another 7.0 scoreless IP.  For the year he has a 2.69 ERA in eighteen starts.  Strickland struck out all three batters in the 9th inning.  His component stats as a Squirrel are 24 H, 4 BB, 0 HR, and 43 K in 33.2 IP.

Ragira's two singles accounted for half of the Giants' four hits.  After hitting just .224 in the first half (in 228 AB), he has hit .293 in the second half (in 191 AB).

Young allowed just 1 ER despite surrendering 2 HR--a solo shot in the 2nd inning and a two-run shot in the 4th inning.
