Monday highlight from the Giants' farm: Austin Fleet pitched a shutout.  Also notable, Mark Mincozzi and Mitch Delfino each homered in multi-hit efforts.

AAA: Fresno defeated Colorado Springs 5-0

Fresno: CF Gary Brown: 2 for 4, 2B, SO
Fresno: 1B Mark Minicozzi: 2 for 4, HR

Fresno: SP Austin Fleet: 9.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K--1 E

Brown and Minicozzi each had two hits, including Minicozzi's 12th HR and Brown's 20th double.

Fleet had perhaps the best start by any Giants' farmhand this year.  He faced just two batters over the minimum in a complete-game shutout.  He threw 117 pitches, pounding the strike zone with 85 strikes.  This was not only the first shutout but the first complete game of his pro career.

AA: Richmond had an off-day

(allowing five runs in the 4th inning)

San Jose: 3B Mitch Delfino: 2 for 4, HR, 2B

San Jose: SP Martin Agosta: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 6 BB, 0 K--1 HR
San Jose: RP Jeff Soptic: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K--1 WP

Delfino connected for his 11th HR and 26th double.  He has an OPS just above .750 in his third pro season.

Agosta issued a new career-high 6 BB while matching career highs with both 6 R and 6 ER.  Soptic provided effective long relief.

A-: Augusta had an off-day
(its next to last scheduled off-day)

Salem-Keizer: 1B Skyler Ewing: 2 for 3, HR, 2B, BB
Salem-Keizer: LF Dylan Davis: 2 for 4, HR, 2 SO

Salem-Keizer: SP Jose Reyes: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 6 K--1 HR

Ewing and Davis connected for their 7th and 2nd HRs.

Reyes came up shy of a quality start but did raise his K/BB ratio above 4.00.

R: Giants defeated Reds 7-6 in game 1
(completing yesterday's suspended game)

Scottsdale: CF Richard Amion: 3 for 5, BB, 2 SB
Scottsdale: SS Christian Lichtenthaler: 3 for 4, 3B, BB

Among three rookie Giants with three hits each, Amion and Lichtenthaler both reached base four times.

(game still in progress at "press time")

Scottsdale: 2B Christian Lichtenthaler: 2 for 4, SF, 2 SO

Scottsdale: SP Samuel Coonrod: 3.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

Lichtenthaler was the lone rookie Giant with two hits, at least so far.

Coonrod made his fourth start.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Red Sox 7-1

Dominican: DH Mecky Coronado: 2 for 4
Dominican: SP Eber Guzman: 4.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K--1 HB, 1 WP

Coronado had two of the Giants' four hits (all singles).  Guzman's start was short than normal.  Over his last five starts, he has 12 BB and 12 K (in 27.0 IP).
