Thursday's most notables from the Giants' farm: Juan Perez homered and singled, Will Callaway hit safely in all 3 PA, and Jason Forjet allowed 1 R in 7.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno lost to Oklahoma City 7-3

Fresno: LF Juan Perez: 2 for 4, HR, SO, E

Fresno: SP Mike Kickham: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 5 BB, 5 K

Perez led off the 3rd inning with his 4th HR.

Kickham has allowed 4+ ER in three of his last four starts, raising his ERA to 4.21.

AA: Richmond defeated New Hampshire 6-2 (7 innings) in game 1

Richmond: 2B Blake Miller: 2 for 4, 2 2B, SO

Richmond: SP Jack Snodgrass: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K--1 HB, 1 WP

Miller doubled twice, giving him 4 XBH through his first nine EL games.

A road warrior, Snodgrass has made eight of his last ten starts on the road, and just one third of his 21 appearances have come at home.  Nonetheless, he has maintained a sub-3.50 ERA.

AA: Richmond defeated New Hampshire 4-3 (7 innings) in game 2

Richmond: 1B Ricky Oropesa: 1 for 3, HR, SO
Richmond: 3B Myles Schroder: 1 for 3, HR, SO

Richmond: SP Chris Stratton: 5.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K

Oropesa and Schroder connected for their 5th and 4th HRs.

Making his third start for the Flying Squirrels, Stratton threw 71 pitches (48 strikes).

A+: San Jose tied with Rancho Cucamonga 2-2 (in middle of 13th inning)

San Jose: RP Tyler Rogers: 1.0 IP, 2 K
San Jose: RP Jorge Bucardo: 3.0 IP, 1 H, 6 K

Delfino and Carbonell combined for four of the Giants' seven hits, plus three of their five walks.

Lujan delivered his second straight quality start, keeping his ERA close to 3.00.  Rogers had 2 K in a perfect 7th inning, and Bucardo struck out more than half his batters in 3.0 scoreless IP.

A-: Augusta lost to Asheville 8-2

Asheville: 3B Ryan McMahon: 2 for 4, HR, 2B

Augusta: SP Robert Ramer: 5.0 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 0 BB, 2 K--2 HR

Callaway hit safely in all three plate appearances, raising his AVG above .300.  McMahon, who the Rockies drafted in the second round last year, connected for his 16th HR--one four big flies for the Tourists.

Making his sixth start, Ramer allowed a season-high 9 H, while the 2 K matched a season low.  For the season, he has 38 H and 30 K in 35.1 IP.

ssA: Salem-Keizer lost to Eugene 1-0

Salem-Keizer: CF Seth Harrison: 1 for 3, BB, SO, SB, CS

Salem-Keizer: SP Jason Forjet: 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K

Harrison managed one of the Volcanoes' three hits and their only walk.

Forjet struck out over one third of his batters (9 of 26).  He delivered his fifth straight quality start but suffered his first loss nonetheless.

R: Giants lost to Angels 10-4

Scottsdale: LF Nicol Parra: 2 for 2, 2B, BB
Scottsdale: RF Ben Leslie: 2 for 3, 2B, BB, SO

Scottsdale: SP Mark Reyes: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K--1 E

Parra and Leslie each reached base three times.  Both still have AVGs below .240.

Reyes got the start after appearing in relief in both of his previous pro appearances.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Orioles2 4-0

Dominican: LF Marco Guzman: 2 for 3, HR, 2B, BB, SB
Dominican: RP Julio Benitez: 4.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

Guzman, playing just his eighth game in his third pro season, connected for his 2nd pro HR, plus a double.  The 19-year-old Benitez had a 0.94 ERA in fifteen relief appearances.
