Romero, a late draft pick out of Oregon State by the Mariners four years ago, had a big game. He reached base four times, including via a walk-off grand slam.
Kickham yielded 8 ER on a season-high 12 H. His ERA rose above 4.00.
AA: Portland lost to Richmond 12-7 (11 innings)

Lisson homered for the four time in his last six games, raising his season total to 16 HR. Harris hit his 14th HR this year, leading off the 10th inning as a pinch hitter. Batting ninth in the order, Blair reached base four times.
Blackburn achieved his longest start in over three months. But he also allowed a season-high 5 ER, raising his ERA to 3.20.
A+: San Jose defeated Lancaster 4-0

Jones hit his 13th HR. By comparison, he had hit 17 HRs over the last two seasons combined.
Making his 20th start, Biagini did not yield an earned run for the first time since his first start this year. McVay had 2 K in a perfect 9th inning.

Massoni connected for his 1st Sally League big fly. Smith, whom the Mets drafted eleventh overall a year ago, connected for his 1st HR this year. He finished the doubleheader with exactly 400 AB.
Ramer began the game with 4.0 scoreless IP before allowing 1 ER in the 5th inning and not retiring either batter faced in the 6th inning.

Massoni reached base in all three plate appearances.
Jones bounced back from his previous start (5 ER in 1.2 IP) with this fine effort. The 8 K were the most he has had in over two months as his strikeout rate has declined in the second half. After 50 K in 42.2 IP in eleven first half start, he has 32 K in 42.1 IP in eight second half starts. Smith struck out all three of his batters for his 4th save.
