Thursday highlights from the Giants' farm: Kelvin Marte and Luis Ysla each allowed just 1 R in their starts, and Chris Dominguez and Ty Ross each homered in multi-hit efforts.

Fresno: SP Kelvin Marte: 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K--1 HR
Dominguez connected for his 16th HR, surpassing his total of 15 HRs a year ago. Ford had three hits, including (remarkably?) his 1st triple, raising his AVG to .306.
Marte made his PCL debut, allowing just 1 R in 7.0 IP.
AA: Richmond lost to Altoona 8-5
(after trailing 7-0 entering the 3rd inning)
Richmond: 1B Angel Villalona: 1 for 2, BB, HBP
Richmond: 2B-3B Myles Schroder: 2 for 4, E
Richmond: SP Kyle Crick: 1.0+ IP, 4 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K--1 HR
Schroder was the lone Flying Squirrel with two hits. Villalona reached base three times, raising his OBP back above .300.
Crick had the shortest start of his pro career, departing after his first two batters in the 2nd inning reached base. His ERA rose to 3.48.
A+: San Jose lost to Stockton 5-3
(scoring all three runs in the 7th inning but allowing three runs in the 8th inning)

With three more singles, Blair finished July with an AVG close to .400 for the month.
Flores delivered a quality start for the third time in his last four starts. Alderson, the ex-Giants prospect, also had a quality start in his third start for the Athletics organization. Rogers had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP. In his second pro season, he has a 2.68 ERA.

With his 5th HR and a single, Ross had two of the GreenJackets' just five hits.
Ysla has allowed just 2 R in 18.2 IP over his last three starts, improving his ERA to 2.23 through 96.2 IP.

Playing his first rehab game, Pagan doubled twice--two of just five hits for the rookie Giants.
Making his pro debut, Beede pitched a scoreless 1st inning, working around a couple walks. Gage provided long relief with 4.0 scoreless IP.
