Monday highlights from the Giants' farm: Chris Dominguez, Juan Perez, and Ty Ross each homered in a multi-hit performance, and Joe Biagini allowed just 1 R in 7.1 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated El Paso 9-4
(scoring three runs in both the 6th and 8th innings)

The Grizzlies went deep three times--Dominguez in the 4th inning for his 15th HR, Minicozzi in the 5th inning for his 7th HR, and Perez in the 6th inning for his 3rd HR.  While Dominguez is noted for his power, he has also displayed some speed this year.  He has 19 SB after 17 SB in his previous three seasons combined.

Fleet, who made thirteen PCL appearances a year ago, returned to the PCL for his first appearance there this year.

AA: Richmond lost to Harrisburg 2-1

Richmond: SP Clayton Blackburn: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K--1 HB, 1 WP
Richmond: RP Cody Hall: 1.0 IP, 2 K

Parker's two singles raised his AVG to .268.

In four July starts, Blackburn has thrown just 17.0 IP but has also allowed just 2 ER.  Tonight he threw 56 pitches (37 strikes).  Hall pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 11th save.

A+: San Jose defeated Modesto 2-1

San Jose: RF Chuckie Jones: 1 for 4, HR, SO
San Jose: C Ben Turner: 2 for 3, 2B, SH

San Jose: SP Joe Biagini: 7.1 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K--1 WP

Turner's 13th double and single raised his AVG to .286.  Jones hit his 10th HR.

Biagini delivered his longest start in two months, getting his ERA back below 4.50.

A-: Augusta defeated Greensboro 7-3

With his 3rd HR and 19th double, Ross improved his season line to .244/.314/.334 through 308 AB.  Jones also had 2 XBH.

Messner came through with his second quality start in seven starts this year.  Montero had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP, bringing his ERA below 3.50.

Arroyo singled four times to extend his hitting streak to eleven games.  He has hit nearly .500 (21 H in 44 AB) during the streak.  Hollick had the Volcanoes' other multi-hit line, but his AVG remains just .234.

Forjet delivered his second straight quality start.  Sanchez pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 7th save.

R: Giants defeated Athletics 3-2

Scottsdale: 2B Kevin Rivera: 2 for 2, SH, E

Scottsdale: SP Samuel Coonrod: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
Scottsdale: RP Stetson Woods: 1.0 IP, 1 K

Rivera was one of two rookie Giants with two hits.

Coonrod made his first start after nine relief appearances.  Woods pitched a perfect 4th inning in his pro debut.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Red Sox 10-1

Dominican: SS Manuel Geraldo: 4 for 5, 2B, SO, E
Dominican: SP Deiyerbert Bolivar: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K--1 HR

The 17-year-old Geraldo had four hits today.  He has hit .222/.304/.340 through 153 AB.  With another strong start, Bolivar improved his W-L record to 4-1 in six starts.
