Abreu connected for his 5th HR. He and Brown, who had his 17th SB, were two of three Grizzlies to reach base twice.
Kickham delivered a quality start. He had 8+ K for the four time in his last seven starts. In eight starts since the start of June, his component stats are 37 H, 16 BB, 0 HR, and 43 K in 46.2 IP. Ramirez, who has made eleven starts for the Mariners this year, matched Kickham, allowing just a couple runs.
AA: Richmond defeated Bowie 5-3

Stromsmoe reached base three times. The 30-year-old has 34 BB but just 8 XBH, giving him a .344 OBP despite a .258 SLG (through 182 AB).
Blach had just his second quality start in his last eight starts, mainly because he completed 6.0 IP in less than half his starts (7 of 17). His ERA remains below 3.00.

Blair hit his 5th HR and 16th double, plus a single. Batting ninth, Villegas reached base four times.
Flores had one of his best starts this year, allowing just a couple hits, including a solo HR to lead off the 7th inning. Mizenko struck out three of four batters for his 8th save.

Throwing barely half his pitches for strikes (48 of 90), Johnson was limited to 4.0 IP. His ERA rose above 5.00.

Ewing, the Giants' sixth-round selection this year, hit safely in all four plate appearances. He has a .400 AVG through his first six NWL games.
Gonzalez allowed 3 ER for the first time since his first start this year. He has a 3.33 ERA after six starts.

Rodriguez had three hits. The 21-year-old is hitting .385 through 130 AB in his fourth DSL season. The 17-year-old Concepcion pitched into the 5th inning for the first time in his last four starts. He has fairly strong component stats to begin his pro career with 39 H, 11 BB, and 37 K in 35.0 IP over eight starts.
