Berken had his third straight start allowing 5+ R.  The 10 H matched a season high, raising his BAA to .296.

AA: Richmond lost to Trenton 8-3
(allowing seven runs over the 2nd and 3rd innings)

Richmond: 3B Myles Schroder: 3 for 3, 2 2B, BB, SB

Schroder had three of the Flying Squirrels' seven hits, including both XBH, and one of their two walks.  The 26-year-old has hit .260/.323/.333 through 150 AB in his first year in the upper minors.

Mejia had his second shortest start this year.  With 5 ER in each of his last three starts, his ERA has risen to nearly 7.00.  Law, the last of six Squirrels relievers, pitched a perfect 9th inning.  He was the lone Squirrels pitcher today not to issue a walk.  Banuelos, who missed all of last year but remains one of the Yankees' top fifteen prospects, struck out four of his seven batters.

Jones had his 6th double and a single, raising his AVG to .240.  Navarro was one of two other Giants with two hits.

Making his eleventh start, Stratton enjoyed a season-high 8 K and got his ERA back below 5.00.  McVay and Okert combined for 3 K in 2.0 perfect IP.
