Thursday highlights from the Giants' farm: Mike Kickham had 8.1 scoreless IP, Steven Messner had 8.0 scoreless IP, and Tyler Horan homered while reaching base in all four plate appearances.

AAA: Fresno defeated Salt Lake 8-0
(scoring seven runs over the first two innings)

Ford's 5th and 6th doubles were the Grizzlies' only XBHs.  Brown and Susac also reached base three times.

Kickham matched a career high with 8.1 IP, facing just four batters over the minimum in that span.  He threw 104 pitches (64 strikes).

AA: Richmond defeated Bowie 4-2

Schroder hit his 9th and 10th doubles.  After slugging about .320 through the end of May, he has slugged nearly .500 since.  Tomlinson reached base three times.  He now has 30 SB.  He and teammate Tyler Graham are easily the top two in the Eastern League in that category.

Fleet had his second straight quality start.  Casilla struck out three of his five batters.  Hall pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 8th save.

A+: San Jose lost to Visalia 6-2

Belt and Jones both reached base twice.

Allowing hits to over half his batters (9 of 17), Young had his shortest this year with just 2.1 IP.  Making his second straight start against the Giants, the Diamondbacks' Blair allowed just 1 R again.

Horan hit his 8th HR while reaching base in all four plate appearances.  Jones hit his 15th double while reaching base three times, but his OBP remains (just) below .300.

Making his second start in 21 appearances, Messner scattered 8 H over 8.0 scoreless IP.  Black struck out three of his four batters.  With multiple strikeouts in seven of his last nine appearances, his K/IP is nearly 2.00.

Massoni and Jones each reached base three times.

Miller's third pro start was his first quality start.  Montero struck out all of his batters for his 1st save.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Nationals 19-4

Dominican: SP Prebito Reyes: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K--1 HR, 1 HB

Edie led off the 3rd innings with his 1st HR.  He scored five runs today.  Making his fifth pro start, Reyes achieved a new high with 6.0 IP.
