Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: among those going deep were Chris Dominguez, Juan Ciriaco, Angel Villalona, Chuckie Jones, and Rafael Rodriguez.  Also notable, Kyle Crick allowed just 1 R in 5.1 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Sacramento 10-9 (11 innings)
(despite allowing seven runs in the 5th inning)

Fresno: RF Chris Dominguez: 2 for 4, HR, 2B, BB
Fresno: 3B Juan Ciriaco: 3 for 6, HR

Fresno: SP Mitch Lively: 4.0+ IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 6 K--1 HR, 1 HB

Dominguez and Ciriaco hit their 8th and 2nd HRs.

After appearing in relief in five of his last six appearances, Lively returned to the rotation.  His ERA rose above 6.50.

AA: Richmond defeated Bowie 6-2

Richmond: SP Kyle Crick: 5.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K--2 WP
Richmond: RP Cody Hall: 1.0 IP, 1 K

Parker and Villalona each connected for their 6th HR.

Crick delivered his second longest start of the year, although he was not particularly efficient with his pitch count, requiring 99 pitches (63 strikes) in 5.1 IP.  Hall pitched a perfect 9th inning.

A+: San Jose defeated Inland Empire 8-3
(after scoring four runs in the 2nd inning)

San Jose: 1B Ben Turner: 3 for 4, 2 2B

San Jose: SP Pat Young: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K--2 HR

With his 4th HR, 3rd triple, and 5th double, Jones ended up just a single short of hitting for the cycle.  Turner also had three hits, including his 2nd and 3rd doubles.  Both players have AVGs below .250.

Young had only allowed 2 HRs this year but then surrendered 3 HR yesterday.  McVay had his third straight appearance without allowing a baseunner.

A-: Augusta defeated Lexington 6-5

Raf-Rod hit his 1st HR.  A year ago he had 4 HR in 250 AB.  Bednar reached base four times.  He now has a 6/6 SB/CS line.  Sim's three singles raised his AVG to .286.

Jones allowed more than 2 ER for just the third time in nine starts this year.  Black, the fourth of five GreenJackets relievers, struck out three of his four batters.  The 23-year-old has 18 K in 9.1 IP through ten appearances.
