Tuesday highlight from the Giants' farm: Matt Duffy had four hits.  Also notable, Mike Kickham had 8 K and 1 ER in 6.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Iowa 3-2
(scoring two runs in the 6th inning)

Fresno: 1B Travis Ishikawa: 1 for 3, HR, SO, GiDP

Fresno: SP Mike Kickham: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 K--1 E
Fresno: RP Erik Cordier: 1.0 IP, 2 K

Ishikawa led off the 2nd inning with his 3rd HR.  The Grizzlies managed only three hits thereafter, all of which came in the two-run 6th inning.

Making his twelfth start, Kickham had a season-high 8 K.  With 1 ER or less in three of his last four starts, he has improved his ERA to 3.88.  Cordier struck out two of his four batters in the 7th inning.

AA: Richmond defeated Trenton 7-4
(scoring five runs over the 4th and 5th innings)

Duffy and Villalona reached base four times each.  They combined for over half of the Flying Squirrels' thirteen hits as they raised their AVGs to .341 and .266.  Harris connected for his 5th HR (as a Squirrel).

Blach allowed less than 3 ER for just the second time in his last six starts.  Through twelve starts, his component stats are 55 H, 13 BB, 8 HR, and 38 K in 62.2 IP.  Hall struck out three of his four batters, raising his K/IP ratio 1.25.

A+: San Jose had an off-day

A-: Augusta lost to Rome 6-5
(despite scoring five runs in the 5th inning)

Sy connected for his 4th HR, including 3 HRs in his last ten games.  Polonius was the lone GreenJacket to reach base twice, but his OPS remains below .650.

In his eleventh start, Mella surrendered a season-high 5 R.  His ERA rose above 4.00.  Snelten had 2 K in a perfect 8th inning.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Orioles2 12-11

Dominican: SS Kelvin Beltre: 2 for 3, HR, 2 BB, E
Dominican: SP Deiyerbert Bolivar: 5.0+ IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

Playing his ninth pro game, Beltre connected for his 2nd HR.  He reached base four times during his first multi-hit game.  Making his second pro start, Bolivar allowed just one run through 5.0 IP before not retiring any of his three batters in the 6th inning.
