Friday highlights from the Giants' farm: the Grizzlies led by Tyler Colvin, Chris Dominguez, and Nick Noonan scored 15 runs, and Carlos Diaz allowed just 1 R in 7.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Albuquerque 15-4
(adding four runs in both the 7th and 8th innings)

Fresno: CF Gary Brown: 3 for 6, SO, SB
Fresno: RF Tyler Colvin: 3 for 4, 2B, 2 BB, SO
Fresno: SS Nick Noonan: 4 for 6, SO
Fresno: LF-1B Chris Dominguez: 2 for 4, HR, BB, GiDP

Fresno: SP Edwin Escobar: 6.0+ IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
Albuquerque: SP Zach Lee: 5.0 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K

The Grizzlies enjoyed a big offensive night.  Noonan's four singles paced the Grizzlies' eighteen-hit attack and raised his AVG to .471 (in 34 AB in PCL).  Colvin reached base five times, including via his 2nd triple.  Dominguez hit his 2nd HR while reaching base three times.  Brown added three singles and had his 5th SB.

Escobar yielded 1 ER in each of the 2nd, 6th, and 7th innings.  He threw just 89 pitches (52 strikes) in 6.0+ IP.  Making his sixth start, he was credited with his first win this year despite a season-high 3 BB and season-low 2 K.  Lee, one of the Dodgers' top five prospects, has yielded 10 H in each of his last two starts, both against the Grizzlies.

AA: Richmond lost to Trenton
(allowing three runs in both the 6th and 7th innings)

Richmond: 2B Skyler Stromsmoe: 1 for 2, BB, 2 HBP
Richmond: 3B Mario Lisson: 2 for 4, 2B, SO
Trenton: DH Gary Sanchez: 1 for 3, HR, BB

Richmond: SP Adalberto Mejia: 5.1 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 4 K--2 HR
Richmond: RP Cody Hall: 1.0 IP, 2 K

Lisson's 3rd double and single were two of just four hits for the Flying Squirrels.  His AVG is now an even .200.  Stromsmoe reached base four times.  Sanchez , the Yankees' top prospect, hit a solo HR leading off the 2nd inning.

Mejia yielded 2 ER in the 2nd inning and 3 ER in the 6th inning, finishing with a season-high 5 ER, which raised his ERA to 5.40 after five starts.  Hall had 2 K in a perfect 8th inning.

A+: San Jose lost to Lancaster 6-3
(after trailing 6-1 entering the 3rd inning)

San Jose: DH Shawn Payne: 2 for 4, 2B

San Jose: SP Joe Biagini: 5.0 IP, 11 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 3 K--1 WP

While four Giants had two hits each, Payne's 4th double (in just three Cal League games since his promotion) was their lone XBH.

Biagini matched career highs with both 6 ER and 11 H.  After yielding all six runs in the first two frames, he did finish with three scoreless frames, saving the bullpen.

A-: Augusta defeated Greenville 4-1
(scoring all four runs in the 1st inning)

Augusta: DH Jeremy Sy: 2 for 4, 2 SO

Augusta: SP Carlos Diaz: 7.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K--1 HB, 1 BK

Sy had two of the GreenJackets' five hits (all singles), including one of their just two hits after the 1st inning.

Despite issuing more free passes (3 BB, 1 HB) than strikeouts (3 K), Diaz had a very effective start, allowing just 1 R in a season-high 7.0 IP.  With no more than 2 ER in any of his five starts, he has a 2.28 ERA.
