Friday highlights from the Giants' farm: Edwin Escobar, Ty Blach, and Matthew Lujan each allowed just 1 R in their starts.

Perez's three hits, including his 6th double, led the Grizzlies' twelve-hit attack. He has hit .389 in 54 PCL AB. Panik and Susac also had multiple hits, raising their AVGs to .308 and .277.
Escobar had one of his best starts of the year. He had a season-high 8 K while pitching into the 7th inning for just the second time in ten starts. His ERA remains just above 5.00. Runzler and Hembree struck out six of their seven batters in 2.1 perfect IP. Runzler now has twice as many strikeouts as hits, although too many walks (12 H, 13 BB, and 25 K in 20.1 IP).
AA: Richmond lost to Trenton 6-1
(allowing five insurance runs over the final two innings)

Villalona was the lone Flying Squirrel with two hits, raising his AVG to .268. Graham now has 20 SB (in 33 G). Sanchez, the Yankees' top prospect, entered the game with just one hit in his last seven games but tonight had four hits, including his 5th HR. He has hit .243/.316/.395 through 152 AB.
After 3 R in each of his last three starts, Blach allowed just 1 R. He got his ERA back below 2.50 (after nine starts) but took the loss nonetheless.
A+: San Jose defeated Visalia 6-2

With a double and a single, Krill was one of four Giants with two hits.
After 4+ R in four of his last five starts, Flores had one of his most effective starts this year. His ERA remains above 5.00 after nine starts.

Lujan has allowed 1 ER or less in six of his seven starts. He has an ERA of 1.44 through 50.0 IP. Alvarado, making his eleventh relief appearance, had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP. It was his first appearance this year in which he has not allowed a hit.
