Thursday highlight from the Giants' farm: Chris Stratton allowed just 1 R in 7.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Las Vegas 6-3
(scoring four runs in the 7th inning)

Fresno: 2B Joe Panik: 1 for 3, 2B, BB, SO
Fresno: LF Chris Dominguez: 2 for 4, 2B, CS

Fresno: SP Jose De Paula: 4.1 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 7 K
Fresno: RP Dan Runzler: 1.0 IP, 1 K
Fresno: RP Heath Hembree: 1.0 IP, 2 K

Panik and Dominguez hit their 6th and 7th doubles while both reached base twice.  Panik entered the game hitting .303/.367/.404 through 178 AB.

In his fourth start, De Paula had season highs with both 9 H and 7 K.  Not sure what to make of that--simultaneously hittable and not hittable?  Runzler and Hembree finished the game with 3 K in 2.0 perfect IP.

AA: Richmond at New Britain suspened by rain
(tied 0-0 in the bottom of the 2nd inning)

Richmond: RF Devin Harris: 1 for 1
Richmond: SP Kyle Crick: 1.0+ IP, 1 BB

Harris had the game's only hit.  After a perfect 1st inning, Crick walked the leadoff batter in the 2nd inning, who was the final batter before the game was called.

A+: San Jose defeated Stockton 5-1 (11 innings)

San Jose: 2B Blake Miller: 1 for 4, HR, BB, SO
San Jose: RF-CF Elliott Blair: 2 for 4, SO

San Jose: SP Chris Stratton: 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K--1 HR
San Jose: RP Steven Okert: 2.0 IP, 1 BB, 4 K

Miller ended the game with a grand-slam, walk-off HR with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning.  It was his 5th HR.  He now has an OPS just above .900 (.321/.370/.531) through 162 AB in his first full pro season.  Blair was the game's lone hitter with two hits.  His two singles raised his AVG to .307.

Stratton had perhaps his best start of the year.  The 1 ER was his fewest since the season opener, and 7.0 IP was a new season high.  He threw 91 pitches (60 strikes).  His component stats are now 46 H, 18 BB, 7 HR, and 46 K in 48.1 IP.  Okert struck out four of his seven batters, raising his K/IP to 1.50.

A-: Augusta lost to Greenville 7-2

Augusta: 2B Jeremy Sy: 1 for 2, 2 BB
Augusta: LF Rafael Rodriguez: 2 for 4, SB

Augusta: SP Carlos Diaz: 4.0+ IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
Augusta: RP Ray Black: 1.0 IP, 1 K

Rodriguez, playing his just his sixth game this year, was the lone GreenJacket with two hits.  Sy reached base three times.  He began the month of May with 17 SO and 10 H through 59 AB but has hit safely without striking out in his last three games.

In his eighth start, Diaz matched a season high with 5 R allowed.  His ERA rose to 3.59.  Black pitched a perfect 7th inning.
