Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: Joe Kurrasch had 7.0 scoreless IP, Christian Jones took a no-hitter into the 8th inning, and Matt Duffy homered while reaching base four times (in a doubleheader).

Susac led off the 9th inning with his 4th HR--the lone XBH for the Grizzlies today. He has hit 6 for 11 with 4 XBH and 1 BB in three games since coming off the DL. Brown singled twice and got his 6th SB. Ahmed, one of the prospect the Diamondbacks acquired from the Braves in the Justin Upton trade, had three hits.
De Paula was not as effective in his third appearance as he had been in his previous two appearances. Bochy had 2 K in a perfect 8th inning. His component stats are now 12 H, 6 BB, 3 HR, and 15 K in 17.0 IP.
AA: Richmond defeated Erie 5-3 (7 innings) in game 1

Lollis hit a crucial two-out, grand-slam HR in the 6th inning, propelling the Flying Squirrels to victory. Lisson was the lone Squirrel with two hits, raising his AVG to .227.
Black pitched his first pro complete game, throwing 88 pitches (67 strikes) in the performance.

Duffy led off the 3rd inning with his 1st HR and hit a three-RBI double in the 4th inning. Harris and Tomlinson were two of three other Flying Squirrels to reach base twice.
Snodgrass had allowed just 3 ER previously this year. Today he allowed season highs with both 3 ER and 9 H but improved his W-L record to 3-0 nonetheless. Bandilla pitched a perfect 6th inning.

Blair and Delfino accounted for nearly half of the Giants' sixteen hits, raising their AVGs to .317 and .322.
Although he allowed five hits, Kurrasch benefited from several double plays and faced just one batter over the minimum in 7.0 IP. He now has 12.0 scoreless IP over his two starts this year. Rogers finished the shutout with 3 K in 2.0 perfect IP.

In the 5th inning, Jones hit his 1st HR (and 2nd pro HR), and Horan hit his 3rd HR. The two blasts drove in five runs. Escalante entered the game hitting just 3 for 32 to start the year but doubled twice and walked.
Jones bounched back from his previous two starts (4 ER in each) with a season high 7.1 IP. In fact, he faced the minimum through 7.1 IP, before yielding singles to his final three batters. His component stats are very good with 21 H, 4 BB, 1 HR, and 31 K in 27.2 IP.
