Wednesday highlights from the Giants' farm: Mitch Delfino homered twice, and Ty Blach had 6.0 scoreless IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Salt Lake 10-7
(after leading 6-0 entering the 3rd inning)

Duvall connected for a grand slam HR in the 1st inning, his 2nd HR this year, securing the early lead.  For the game, Brown and Abreu paced the Grizzlies with three hits each, including 2 XBH for both hitters.  Through seven games, Brown has hit .324/.343/.529 in 34 AB.  Cron, the Angels' #2 prospect, hit a grand slam HR in the 6th inning, cutting the Grizzlies' lead in half (roughly).

Lively began the game with four scoreless frames before he allowed 1 ER in the 5th inning and then did not retire any of his three batters in the 6th inning.

AA: Richmond defeated Bowie 5-1

Tomlinson entered the game with just two hits but tonight was the lone Flying Squirrel with two hits, raising his AVG to .174.  Oropesa, who entered the game in the 4th inning as a pinch hitter, doubled and walked in 3 PA.

Despite not a single strikeout, Blach delivered 6.0 scoreless IP, facing just four batters over the minimum.  Law pitched a perfect 9th inning with 2 K.  Rodriguez, whom Baseball America ranks as the Orioles' #3 prospect, has allowed 4 ER in 5.0 IP in each of his first two starts this year.

A+: San Jose lost to Lancaster 9-4

Delfino had a big game, connecting for a pair of two-run HRs in the 4th and 9th innings.  He also doubled, while the rest of the Giants' lineup combined for just four singles.  Delfino has 5 XBH through his first seven games this year.

After allowing just 1 ER in his first start, Flores allowed just 1 ER through four innings.  After allowing 2 ER in both the 5th and 6th innings, he finished the night with a 4.50 ERA.

(scoring all eight runs in the 3rd inning)

With three hits each, Arroyo and Rojas combined for over half of the GreenJackets' ten hits.  Arroyo had entered the game with just two in his first six games, and his AVG is now .185.

Johnson began the game with five scoreless frames before being touched for 3 R in the 6th inning.
