Affeldt retired just one of seven batters in his rehab start. He threw 33 pitches (18 strikes). In long relief, Lively retired just half of his batters (10 of 20). Runzler had 2 K in a perfect 7th inning. The Mets' Syndergaard, one of the top 25 prospects in baseball, delivered a quality start in his PCL debut. Last year he had 3.11 ERA in 12 Florida State League starts and a 3.00 ERA in 11 Eastern League starts.

Making his upper minors debut, Flores faced just four batters over the minimum in 7.0 IP. The Dodgers' Beckett gave up three runs to start the game but no more runs thereafter. The 17-year-old Urias, a top 100 prospect, delivered 4.0 scoreless IP in his Cal League debut.
