AAA: Fresno defeated El Paso 6-5
(scoring four runs in the 5th inning)

Fresno: CF Gary Brown: 2 for 4, BB, SO
Fresno: C Guillermo Quiroz: 1 for 3, BB
El Paso: 1B Kyle Blanks: 2 for 4, 2B, BB

Fresno: SP Jake Dunning: 3.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 K--1 WP
Fresno: RP Erik Cordier: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 3 K

Brown reached base three times, improving his OBP to .349.  Quiroz was one of only two other Grizzlies to reach base twice.  The Padres' Blanks had a solid game, with his 5th double, a single, and a walk.

Dunning, making just his first start in three years, delivered 3.2 scoreless IP.  He threw 56 pitches (35 strikes).  Cordier kept the Chichuahuas off the scoreboard through the 6th inning.

AA: Richmond hosting Bowie postponed by rain
(A makeup doubleheader is scheduled for May 14.)

A+: San Jose defeated Modesto 9-5
(after trailing 5-2 entering the 5th inning)

San Jose: DH Shawn Payne: 2 for 4, 2 2B, BB, SB
San Jose: SS Blake Miller: 4 for 5, 2B, E
San Jose: 1B Brian Ragira: 1 for 4, HR, SF, 2 SO

San Jose: SP Martin Agosta: 3.0 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 2 K

Miller's four hits paced the Giants' fifteen-hit attack and raised his AVG to .312.  Payne, playing his first game for the Giants after a promotion from the Sally League, doubled twice and walked.  Ragira connected for his 4th HR.

At least from a statistical perspective, Agosta has been relatively ineffective this year.  Through four starts, he has an ERA over 7.00 and a WHIP close to 2.00.

A-: Augusta at Charleston suspended in the 1st inning
(The game is scheduled to be resumed tomorrow as part of a doubleheader.)
