Making their PCL debuts, Susac was the lone Grizzly with two hits, and Duvall homered. The Mets' Nieuwenhuis had four hits, including a solo HR to lead off the 6th inning.
Kickham, who made 20 starts for the Grizzlies a year ago, allowed only a couple unearned runs on opening night. Montero, one of the top 100 prospects in the minors, faced just three batters over the minimum in 6.0 scoreless IP.

The 29-year-old Lisson homered in his debut with the Giants organization. Parker was the lone Flying Squirrel with two hits.
Blach, the Cal League's ERA leader last year, came up shy of a quality start in his upper minors debut. One third of his opposing batters (7 of 21) hit safely.

Galindo and Delfino, perhaps the two most notable hitters moving from the GreenJackets' lineup last year to San Jose's lineup this year, each had three hits, combining for half of the Giants' dozen hits. Jones homered while also reaching base three times. He had a career-high 10 HRs last year.
Stratton delivered a strong start in his Cal League debut. A year ago he had a 3.27 ERA in 22 Sally League starts. Bradley, who spent last year in the Eastern League, struck out five of his seven batters.
