Wednesday highlights from the Giants' farm: Mac Williamson and Jesus Galindo each homered while reaching base three times.

AAA: Fresno had their first scheduled off-day
(Their next scheduled off-day is May 14.)

AA: Richmond lost to Reading 1-0
(allowing the game's lone run in the 4th inning)

Richmond: CF Jarrett Parker: 1 for 3, BB, SO

Richmond: SP Clayton Blackburn: 4.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Richmond: RP Jack Snodgrass: 3.1 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K
Reading: SP Jesse Biddle: 7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 10 K

Parker had one of the Flying Squirrels' four hits (all singles) and one of their two walks.  Starting his fourth pro season, he has hit .300/.364/.457 through 70 AB.

In a pitching matchup of two very good prospects, Biddle, the Phillies' #2 prospect, got the upper hand, striking out 10 of 25 batters in 7.0 scoreless IP.  Blackburn allowed just 1 R but was removed in the 5th inning with two runners on base after 91 pitches (54 strikes).  Snodgrass had 3.1 scoreless IP in long relief to further improve his ERA to 0.61.

A+: San Jose lost to Visalia 12-4
(allowing five runs over the 3rd and 4th innings)

San Jose: CF Jesus Galindo: 2 for 4, HR, BB, SB
San Jose: DH Mac Williamson: 2 for 4, HR, BB, SO
Visalia: 3B Brandon Drury: 3 for 5, 2 HR, SO

San Jose: SP Joan Gregorio: 5.0 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 4 K--2 HR

Williamson and Galindo connected for their 3rd and 1st HRs, both while reaching base three times.  Drury, one of the prospects the Diamondbacks acquired from the Braves in the Justin Upton trade, hit his 4th and 5th HRs.

After allowing just 3 ER over his first three starts, Galindo easily had his least effective start with 7 ER allowed.  His ERA approximately tripled to 4.66.

A-: Augusta lost to Hagerstwon 5-3 (13 innings)
(after allowing the tying run in the 9th inning)

Augusta: RF Tyler Horan: 1 for 3, 2 BB, HBP, SO
Augusta: DH Jeremy Sy: 2 for 6, 2B, 2 SO

Augusta: SP Luis Ysla: 4.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Augusta: RP Raymundo Montero: 2.0 IP, 1 K

Horan reached base four times for the GreenJackets, while Sy had their lone XBH.

Ysla had perhaps his best start so far this year with a season-low 0 ER and season-low 1 BB in a season-high 4.2 IP.  Montero pitched perfect 11th and 12th innings.
